As a third-generation family business, our hotel thrives on hospitality; that special feeling of home – and the many fantastic members of staff who appreciate valuable encounters just as much as we do. With that in mind, we prefer to be on first name terms with our guests, because this engenders a feeling of closeness and simply makes time here with us in the Hotel Gassner lovely.

You will find your very own retreat in one of our 49 lovingly designed rooms, studios and suites. Featuring natural materials, wonderful carpentry and a flair for what is genuine, they are your home from home for a while.

Our lounge is a real favourite spot too. It catches the eye, even as you walk into the hotel – a place for great conversations together as a couple, or for a cosy evening as part of a social get-together at the big family table.
Head straight from here out on to our cozy terrace, which not only tempts you to enjoy a pleasure-packed breakfast and evening meal, but is also a wonderful place to linger during the day. Take a seat, and you’ll be served.
After an action-packed time out in nature, come back to the hotel, put your feet up and feel how that sense of ease returns – it is for precisely this, that our Crystal and Garten SPA is here. Your retreat with so many little favourite places:
In the indoor pool with its coloured lights and ‘dress-on’ family sauna, in the relaxation room with its relaxing loungers, or outdoors in the ‘Blausee’ natural pool, where secluded islands promise pure relaxation – you will find the time-out you need right here. Accessible to everyone – even for our young guests.
Would you like even more tranquillity? Waiting for you in our adults only sauna world are themed saunas, a steam bath, tepidarium, Kneipp pool, ice fountain, infrared loungers, juice bar and a stylish relaxation room providing views to the mountains – perfect for switching off.
Beneficial massages can be booked as an add-on at any time, and, should the sun not play along, you can just do the same too – and enjoy going barefoot, all day long. Wonderfully relaxed in the Crystal and Garden SPA.
There is a pleasure-filled start to the day – with aromatic coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and a little pancake tower, that is almost too lovely to stick a fork into. Add to that a bowl of fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, farmhouse bread with home-made jam, or something a bit more substantial with eggs – our buffet breakfast leaves you wanting for nothing.
Simply pick some fresh herbs from our ‘cut and come again’ garden, and if you still have a bit of time, enjoy another cup of coffee – that’s what morning tastes like here with us in Hotel Gassner. Inside or outside, sweet or savoury, just the way you like it.
The afternoon continues in the same uncomplicated way, with an afternoon snack served to you, or make up your own snack pack for a hike. And because drinks are just as important as good food, up until 20:00 non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea are available free of charge.
In the evening as our culinary highlight we serve a five-course dinner, lovingly prepared and featuring wonderful flavours, regional produce - honestly made by our team of chefs based around Hans-Peter und Gregor. On request we provide exquisite wines as accompaniments to enjoy throughout the evening. Children enjoy their own 3-course menu – and ice-cream from the buffet; while supplies last.
Many people need an expansive view, others merely a tranquil bench in the sunshine. Both are lovely – and you will find both here with us. Five times a week, from Monday to Friday, we invite you to head into the mountains. Hiking guides not only knows the loveliest places in the region, but also has a wonderful intuition for speed, mood and navigation. There tours proceed across Alpine terrain, ridges which provide an abundance of views – and at times they even take to you to your own inner self, by means of hiking.
Hans-Peter Gassner, landlord and keen mountain walker, is happy to show you unspoilt areas, and accompanies you to the places where the landscape becomes rugged, tranquil and impressive. He particularly enjoys take you game-watching in the hotel's own hunting grounds - a real “must-do” for anyone who wants to get particularly close to wild nature.
